Haverings U10s stepped out for the first time this season and didn’t disappoint as they came away with 3 wins. First game versus Old Loughts saw Matt Cox make his pitch debut playing alongside brother Callum. Great attacking play saw Liam Purton score twice and Tom Thatcher scoring too. The next game v Waltham Forest, a comfortable 4-0 win with a Tom Thatcher netting as well as a hat-trick from Liam Purton. The last game see the boys concede their first and only goal as the won 3-1 v Redbridge & Ilford, again Tom scoring once and Liam with another double.

The U12 girls struggled with due to a player shortage but still came away with decent results. Losing the first game v Waltham Forest, the girls came back strong to beat Chelmsford 2-1, Gabby Bean scoring both, one of them after the keeper saved the initial strike from Megan Banks. The last game showed that the girls determination resulted in most of the possession, but were unlucky when a break down the right resulted in a good goal from Old Loughts. Superb defending from Munsa Mangat & Bonita Hayer kept other chances to a minimum, and Danielle Drake was unlucky not to score.

The U12 boys were strong and came away with a 0-1 loss to Waltham Forest, 3-0 win over Old Loughts, Purton with his second hat-trick of the day and a 3-0 over Waltham Forest, Rhys Goulden scoring twice and Liam scoring his tenth goal of the day.
Overall – a very good day for the boys, scoring 16 and conceding 2 and moral victory for the girls who were at least 1 player short each game but still fought hard
