L2 take the win at Crostyx

Havering Ladies 2s had a late game away at Crostyx. Despite the rain and the dark they fought well throughout the match and played some good hockey, ending up 3-1 winners. Havering dominated from the start and Nicki Cast opened the scoring, slapping home Alex Semon's cross. Havering continued to cause problems for Crostyx but it was the hosts who scored next to level. Havering changed a couple of things at half time and from the start had a chance to pull ahead when Catherine Semon's through ball found Emma Isherwood in the circle. However her shot was well saved by the keeper. Several penalty corner attempts were saved before Alex Semon put one away to give Havering the lead. Havering continued to play some flowing hockey and the defence of Nic Earle, Karen Taylor, Chris Noller and Trudie Clarke picked up everything Crostyx tried to put forward. Catherine Semon, Issy Purdie and Saffron Harvey worked hard in midfield and Purdie grabbed Havering's third, tucking away the rebound from Alex Semon's penalty corner strike. Isherwood almost got a fourth near to the end but couldn't quite latch on to Cast's cross.
