Havering Ladies 2s opened up their account with a ground out 2-1 victory over local rivals Romford. Havering put in an excellent first half performance with Catherine Semon and Alex Semon both dominating the midfield. Alex Semon opened the scoring, lifting the ball over the keeper who had just made a series of good saves. Emma Isherwood added a second connecting with Saffron Harvey's cross after Harvey had made an excellent run along the backline, doing well to just keep it in play. Havering couldn't add to their score and went in to half time 2-0 up. A scrappy start allowed Romford to pull one back and it was the visitors who were unlucky not to draw level as the game went on. Lucy Bree in goal produced a couple of key saves to keep Havering ahead and to ultimately claim the points.
