

Havering Men’s 4s kicked off their season in spectacular fashion with a commanding 5-0 victory over Waltham Forest 5s on Saturday 12th September. Playing at home for the opening game of the campaign, the 4s delivered a dominant performance, combining clinical finishing with a rock-solid team display that left the visitors with no answer.
The match began with high intensity, but it took until late in the first half for the deadlock to be broken. The home side's persistence paid off in the 26th minute when MJ found the back of the net with a brilliant field goal. Just two minutes later, Ajay doubled the advantage with another well-worked field goal in the 28th minute, sending Havering into the half-time break with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Havering started the second half looking incredibly promising, determined to build on their momentum and deliver more goals. Their relentless pressure paid off late in the game with a rapid-fire trio of goals. In the 60th minute, Ralph managed to slot one home to make it 3-0. MJ was back at it again just four minutes later, bagging his second of the match in the 64th minute. Ralph then capped off the scoring frenzy in the 67th minute, firing in his second goal of the day to seal the emphatic 5-0 win.
It was a brilliant start to the season for the Men's 4s. The performance was elevated by the fantastic contributions of the players who have recently joined the squad, fitting into the team seamlessly. It was a proud day for everyone involved, setting a high standard for the weeks ahead as the team shifts its focus onto the next game.
