Match Report: Havering 4’s Run Riot in Seven-Goal Victory
Fixture: Thurrock 3’s vs. Havering 4’s
Date: Saturday, 31st January 2026
Final Score: 2 – 7
First Half: Havering Take Control

Havering 4’s started with an intensity that Thurrock 3’s struggled to contain from the first whistle. The visitors showcased excellent play across the pitch, building a massive lead before the halftime break.

The opening period was spearheaded by James Walker, who was in lethal form, dismantling the Thurrock defence to secure a clinical hat-trick. Martin (MJ) then added a fourth just before the whistle; the goal came via a pinpoint pass from AJ, which allowed MJ to strike the ball first-time, buried deep into the corner. Havering headed into the interval with a commanding 0-4 lead.

Second Half: The MJ Masterclass
Despite their comfortable lead, Havering refused to take their foot off the gas. The second half became the "Martin Show," as MJ added three more goals to his tally through a mix of clever movement and unselfish teamwork.

* The Deception: A brilliant dummy from Leo Yang caused total confusion in the Thurrock backline. The ball eluded both the defender and the goalkeeper, allowing MJ to ghost in and mop up into an open net.
* The Sportsmanship: After a well-executed short corner, a goal-bound shot from Walker was blocked by a Thurrock foot on the line. Walker already being on a hat-trick unselfishly handed the ball to MJ. Martin buried the penalty flick to secure his own hat-trick.
* The Solo Finish: Neat work on the right flank allowed Leo Yang to thread a through ball past the first defender. MJ picked up the pass, beat the final man, and calmly slipped the ball past the on-rushing keeper for his fourth of the afternoon.

Full-Time: Thurrock 2 - 7 Havering
Thurrock 3’s managed to find the net twice in the second half as they fought to get back into the game, but it was far too little, too late. This Havering 4’s side was simply too clinical, with Walker and MJ accounting for all seven goals in a dominant away performance.
