Waltham Forest II 2 - Havering II 2
A late goal from Jack Downes earned Havering a draw they hardly deserved against fellow strugglers Waltham Forest.
The game started well for Havering when Roger Hiett fired home an early short-corner but Havering failed to capitalise and Forest soon struck back when a cross from the left was deflected past veteran 'keeper Nik Males.
The hosts took the lead soon after the break from a powerful reverse stick shot. Havering pushed for a equaliser but failed to find any fluency in their play. Mike Hinton came close but his reverse stick effort was well saved by the Forest 'keeper. At the other end Males stood firm whenever called upon to prevent the hosts extending their lead.
Eventually, good work from Zak Nerukar down the left set up Downes to finish from close range to give Havering a valuable, if undeserved, point.
