Havering failed to make the most of their opportunities as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home against Colchester.
The hosts started poorly and were soon behind when a weak short-corner effort slipped past Havering 'keeper Luke Ray. This proved a wake-up call for Havering who created several chances of their own at the other end but no-one could provide the clinical finish.
Havering were much improved in the second half but still failed to convert their possession into goals, Mike Caruana-Smith came close when he shot well wide after a good run.
Colchester were a constant threat on the counter attack but man of the match Haydn Joslin remained solid in the Havering defence to keep them out.
The breakthrough finally came for Havering when Joni Ishikawa ran into the 'D' from the left wing, drew the Colchester 'keeper and squared a simple chance for Jack Downes to equalise with his second in successive games.
Both sides began to tire and the quality of play deteriorated as the game drew to a close, with neither side proving good enough to take all three points in the end.
