Havering secured their place in division 4SE for next season with a convincing win at bottom of the table Southend.

The visitors started brightly but failed to convert numerous chances
with Adam Willet particularly unfortunate on several occasions.
Eventually the breakthrough came when Andy Meehan tapped in after good
work from Ryan Lee. The lead was soon doubled when top-scorer Willet
finished from close range to give Havering a 2-0 lead at the break.

The hosts rallied early in the second half and pulled one back when
Mike Caruana-Smith deflected a short-corner into his own net. With
Havering struggling to retain possession, Southend drew level when
'keeper Luke Ray failed to keep out a close-range effort after the
ball had once again been given away by the Havering defence.

Havering then began to improve and regained the lead thanks to another
close-range finish from Willett. The points were secured soon
afterwards following an individual effort from Caruana-Smith from a
short-corner.
