Havering travelled to local rivals Upminster.

The home side started off brightly and pegged Havering back. They were rewarded when a crash ball from the top of the 25 hit Havering's post and rebounded fortuitously to an Upminster forward in the D for an easy tap-in. The home team buoyed by this won a short corner and the rebound off keeper Andy Gaut was tapped in again by an Upminster forward.
Not to be deterred however, Havering played themselves back into the match. A quadruple save from the Upminster keeper stopped Havering from scoring, as well as a pick off the line from Sunny Hunjan’s drag flick from a short corner. The travelling team were finally rewarded with a goal when captain Alex Lee drove the ball past 2 defenders on the right hand side of the D and his hit pass across goal found Andy Meehan in acres of space. Instead of shooting first time, Meehan took it onto his reverse and his shot lifted over the Upminster keeper and the rushing defender on the line to give Havering a way back into the match.

The second half was all Havering as the away side tried to press for an equaliser. They came close several times, with Harry Andrews hitting the post presenting the closest effort, but some resolute defending from the home team kept Havering at bay and the score ended 2-1 to Upminster.

Havering host Bishop Stortford at home next weekend.
