History in the making as Havering O40'S reach EHB National Shield Finals

Havering started the brighter of the two teams and a solid team perfomance in the first quarter gave the home side a 3 - 0 lead with goals from Bob Joyce, Dave Tarsey and Brad Morland.

Old Wulfrunians rallied but the Havering defence stood firm with keeper Nick Males making some crucial saves.

Further good work from the Havering forwards sent Havering into the break with a four goal cushion.

The visitors came out strong in the second half and their pressure was rewarded when they scored from a short corner.

Havering fought back with further goals from Brad Morland and Paul Dover and set up their place in the finals at Beeston on Sunday 4th May.
