This week, it is due to be very cold as we go into the weekend which could potentially result in us having a frozen pitch on Saturday morning. Last year, this was tackled expertly by Nicky and Emma by sweeping the top layer of frost of the pitch early, allowing the sun to defrost the rest in time for games to go ahead. Due to the good positioning of the pitch, the sun hits it early, speeding up the process.
As they say, 'many hands make light work', so come along this Saturday to help Nicky, Emma and myself sweep the pitch so that our home games can go ahead. All you need is yourself and a broom. If you don't have one, then still come along as we may have a spare.
The quicker we get it swept, the quicker it will defrost.
