We heard yesterday that Lorraine passed away on Monday after a brave battle.

Lorraine was the ladies 1st team goalkeeper during the 70's and 80's.

She was in the team that won the inaugral Essex League in 1986 and was an integral member of the successful mixed team of this era matching any male opposition goalkeeper.

She toured to Newcastle, Clacton and Holland and was an amazing keeper who never appreciated how good she was.

Friends will all have their special memories.

Lorraines funeral will take place on Wednesday the 24th January @ 3.30 pm at Corbets Tey, Crematorium followed by her wake at The Thatched House Pub, Upminster.
