Havering 3s vs Chelmsford 6s

After starting the season with a disappointing loss to Thurrock, Havering Ladies 3s headed for Campion pitch for their first home game. The team knew they’d be in for a tricky match against Chelmsford (who had started their season with a 7-1 win).
Havering put up a good fight and got themselves into the opposition circle on several occasions, but were unable to convert their efforts into goals. 20 minutes into the first half Chelmsford broke through the Havering defence - and they had that final magic touch. 15 minutes later and after several attempts repelled by goalkeeper Louisa, they did it again to bring the halftime score to 0-2 to Chelmsford.
With the 2nd half underway Havering held out until the 44th minute before Chelmsford snuck their 3rd goal across the line, before Havering captain Alice stole back a goal for the home side for a final score of 1-3 and an overall loss for Havering.
Player of the match votes reflected the efforts put in by the whole team as multiple players picked up votes from their teammates, and the overall player of the match was rightfully awarded to Louisa for her many masterful saves!
On to the next week for Havering L3s who have now set their sights on their local derby match with Romford for their first win of the season.
