Havering 2s vs Old Southendians 3's

On Saturday Havering ladies 2's played their last game of the season at home to Old Southendians 3's. With Havering looking for a win to help their chances of promotion this season. Old Southendians mounted a good attack looking to ensure the game was bot easy for the home side. Great tackles from Wendy Schofield and Sue Bartlett kept the ball from the Havering D. Miller George opened the scoring for Havering knocking the ball in past the Old Southebdians keeper. Teagan Bunn and Nina Brenan also followed up with goals of their own. Louisa Sillet and Emilie Molloy made a cracking goal lime save between them defending a short corner to keep the away side at nil making the score at half time 3-0.
Nina Brennan opened out the second half score sheet a couple of minutes in. Into the second half Havering found themselves under more attacks from Old Southendians as they looked to get the break on the home side. Nic Earl and Wendy Schofiled worked hard down the left hand side of the pitch to ensure Old Southendians were unable to get down the pitch. Cidney Payton and Teagan Bunn continued great runs across the pitch keeping the pressure into the Old Southebdians 25 where possible. Receiving a great ball in space Rae Ahmad found herself in a one on one with the keeper and lifting the ball over the keeper found the backboard once more for Havering. With a final short corner of the game to go the whole of Havering came up to the D with the whistle blown for the end of the game. Rae Ahmad injected to Nic Earl on the top left of the circle who swept the ball into the opposing goal corner bobbling past the keeper and the defenders sticks for a final goal. Brilliant team play from the ladies 2s resulted in a fantastic 6-0 win and a wait to see how the tables end up at the end of the season.
