Old Southendians 2's vs Havering

On Saturday Havering Ladies 2's played away to Old Southendians in what was sure to be a close game with both teams close on points near the top of the table. Havering started strongly earning a string of short corners in the first quarter. Enilie Molloy looked to score from the top however the Old Southendians goal keeper produced some great saves to keep the score level. Havering eventually scored through Cidney Payton who secured a brilliant shot away to the left post. Old Southendians looked to put the pressure on and evened things out with a hit across the goal which hit the left hand corner to go in. Withe the score 1-1 at half time it was still all to play for.
Into the second half the game remained very even with both teams looking to score where possible. Havering had some great chances from Tegan Bunn and Rae Ahmad who looked to follow up on rebounds from the goalie try try and get another score. Wendy Schofield and Emilie Molloy worker hard in defence to continue to tackle the oncoming Old Southendians players to ensure they did not get a straight run at the Havering D. Louisa Sillet produced fantastic saves also to keep the score level. A final short corner for Old Southendians well defended by Havering from Tash Mangion saw a close game end 1-1. With overall player of the match going to Teagan Bunn!
