Havering vs Old Loughts 4's

Saturday saw Havering ladies 2s at home to Old Loughts. The team started strongly with great passing between Ruby Lendon and Cidney Payton with brilliant runs from Teagan Bunn to get Havering up the field. A lovely ball in to the Old Loughts 25 from the middle of the pitch to Rae Ahmad with a one on one with the keeper. A lovely ball over the top of the keeper into the backboard secured Havering's first goal. Similarly followed up about 10 minutes later another ball into Rae Ahmad up front saw Rae in another one on one with the goalie and put the ball between their legs for a second goal. Loughts looked to put the Havering defence under pressure and despite great saves from Louisa Sillet to keep the score for the away team at 0, a brilliant shot from the top of the D from a short corner saw Loughts score their first goal.

With the first half ending 2-1 both sides looked to secure goals into the second half. Earning a few short corners in quick succession Havering had opportunities to score again with Emilie Molloy converting from the centre of the D after slipping left and receiving the ball in the centre again to go round the Old Loughts corner defence. While Havering put a lot of pressure on the Old Loughts 25 in the second half Loughts did look to break out earning short corners which were well defended by Tash Mangion and Emilie Molloy. In the last 5 minutes of the game Ruby Lendon scored for Havering bringing the score to 4-1 to the home side. A great team performance from Havering.
