Havering vs Bishops Stortford

On Saturday Havering Ladies 2's were away to league leaders Bishops Stortford in what was sure to be a tough game. Bishops Stortford were clinical on the ball and looked to take all opportunities in front of goal. With some some fast running and a couple of higher players they managed to get the ball behind the Havering defence, Louisa Sillet in goal looked to take on the running player who slipped the ball round for the free Bishops Stortford player scoring their first goal. From 16's Emilie Molloy and Nicola Earl looked to try and find various Havering players with Cidney Payton and Kayleigh Rochford making some great runs to break into the Bishops Stortford half. Havering were unlucky not to come away with anything. Bishops Stortford scored twice more in the first half to make the score 3-0 going into half time.

With a job to do in the second half Havering came out with renewed energy. Katie Mann and Ruby Lendon had some excellent runs down the wings to get Havering into the Bishops Stortford D with Rae Ahmed unlucky not to score. A couple of short corners to Havering saw Emilie Molloy also unlucky not to convert from the top of the D. Bishops Stortford continued to play well and put pressure on the Havering D also, scoring a forth time in the second half. Although with chances Havering were unable to convert with the score ending 4-0 to the home team. Havering put up a great team performance to keep the pressure on Bishops Stortford despite the score with player of the match going to Katie Mann.
