Havering 2s vs Southend 3s

On Saturday Havering Ladies 2s played at home to Southend 3s. The ladies 2s were hoping to add to their points again this week.
Havering started strongly with some brilliant running from Tegan Bunn and Tasha Mangion down the right hand side to enable Havering to put the pressure on early in the game. 6 minutes in Emma Isherwood put a great ball across to Rae Ahmed in the D who was able to score Haverings first goal. Continued great team play and great running from Cidney Payton and Sue Bartlett in the middle of the pitch kept the pressure on Southend and stopped many of the Southend attacks before they could get going. Earning themselves another short corner Havering were finally able to convert with Emma Isherwood passing the ball from the top to Nic Earl on the right I the D to put the ball in past the goalie and defenders. The half ended 2-0 to Havering.
Looking to continue the great play in the second half Havering continued to look to keep the ball out of their half, brilliant running from Katie Mann down the right hand side earned Havering a lot of field position and continued presence in the Southend half. From a Havering long corner Nic Earl dribbled the ball to the right of the Southend D putting a pass in across the D which was picked up by forward Nina Brennan who shot towards the left of the goal earning Haveing their 3rd goal. Southend looked to try and break back a couple of times in the last quarter with Louisa Sillet making a great save and Tasha Mangion excellent runs and tackles to ensure they were unable to convert. The match ended 3-0 to Havering with players of the match votes going to many players showing the great team effort. However overall votes went to Tasha Mangion!
