Old Loughts 4's vs Havering 2's

On Saturday 14th October Havering ladies 2's played away to Old Loughts 4's, looking to bounce back from the previous week's defeat. The game started with some good runs from Havering from Ruby Lendon and Wendy Schofield gaining Havering good positions on pitch. However, Havering were unable to come away with anything from the Old Loughts D. Old Loughts young team continued to work up the right side, eventually finding a break in the Havering defence, to enable them to score, bringing the score to 1-0 early in the half. Havering and Old Loughts continued to battle hard through the first half with some great runs down the right hand side of the pitch from Saffron Harvey. Unfortunately Havering were unable to find any luck in the opposing D and the first half finished 1-0.

The second half started with some tensions and misunderstandings of calls leading to some stoppages. However after one of these great work from Sue Bartlett down the right hand side enabled Saffron Harvey to score for Havering making the score 1-1. Another stoppage and a brilliant goal from Old Loughts following this, saw the score at 2-1. Havering continued to battle hard throughout the half. With Emilie Molloy putting some great balls down the pitch from the 16's, with Emma Isherwood making brilliant leading runs to pick up on these. Old Loughts continued to attack in earnest with Wendy Schofield making fantastic tackles down the left and great saves from Lucy Bree in goal, ensuring Old Loughts were unable to increase their score further. The game ended at 2-1 to Old Loughts having been a tough game but battled well.
