Havering 2's vs Bishops Stortford 6's

This Saturday Havering ladies 2's took on top of the table Bishops Stortford at Havering's home ground Campion. Havering and Bishops Stortford started the game fairly evenly with neither side breaking through into the others D. However, after some great passing Bishops Stortford found a way to break up front and in space with 2 players and were able to score their first goal. The second goal from the away side followed shortly after, with some extremely speedy running from the Bishops Stortford right forward. Havering then looked to try and even the game out gaining a few shortcorners which Cidney Payton was unlucky not to convert. Brilliant running from Jessie Watson down the right wing for Havering saw the home side extremely unlucky not to convert again from a leaping dive from Jessie to try to dink the ball in from the post. Bishops Stortford were unfortunately able to break up front again before the half ended leaving the score 0-3 at half time.
Bishops Stortford came out strongly in the second half scoring two goals fairly quickly after the half started. Havering then looked to even the score pressing ahead into the Bishops Stortford half with brilliant running down the left wing from Stephanie Dickinson. Rae Ahmed and Tegan Bunn continued to fight for the ball up front winning Havering a string of short corners. Great defensive running on the shorts from Bishops Stortford stopped Havering from converting these. Tasha Mangion and Megan Isherwood continued to work hard in defence cutting off Bishops Stortfords attacking runs. Great keeping from Katie Coyne for Havering also kept a few more out. However Bishops Stortford were able to score again before the match ended leaving the score 0-6 at final whistle.
