Havering 2's vs Upminster 4's

On Saturday Havering Ladies 2s played local rivals Upminster at Campion. Havering started off strongly managing to spend a decent amount of time in the Upminster half. Great runs from Emma Isherwood and Alison Isherwood earned Havering short corners which the team were unable to convert due to fantastic goal keeping from the Upminster keeper.
Upminster began to have some good breaks into the Havering half, strong tackles from Tasha Mangion stopped the Upminster attacks many times; and good linking passes to Ruby Lendon up the left allowed Havering to keep the pressure on. However the first half ended 0 - 0.

The second half saw Upminster have some good runs into the Havering D earning themselves a number of short corners. Brilliant running from Tasha at 1st runner kept the away side from scoring. Cidney Payton and Saffron Harvey continued to put in great tackles further up pitch to put Upminster under pressure for the ball, with Havering unlucky not to have more chances with some great passes into the Upminster D. A final short corner for Havering saw Rae Ahmed finally scoring from the post for the home side in the dying minutes of the match, securing Havering the win at 1-0.
