Havering looked to continue their recent run of good form as they hosted Crostyx 2s who they had beaten 5-0 earlier in the season. Havering asserted their dominance from the start and a penalty corner brought an early lead. Catherine Semon passed to Emma Isherwood whose strike was met on the far post by Sue Harwood to tap in. A second came soon after when Lauren Earle ran down the wing and crossed for Vicky Lynch to sweep in. With Earle, Nic Earl, Emily Gilkes-Tarsey and Amelia Acreman ably supporting Semon and Lynch in midfield Havering looked like building up their much needed goal difference but Crostyx began to hold better in defence. Havering continued to battle and Isherwood put another ofEarle's crosses just wide whilst Semon saw several penalty corners go astray. A third did come in the first half after Hollie Dawkins made a great run from left back to cross into the circle where Acreman met the ball to score her first goal for the first team. The second half began in a similar vein to the first with Havering dominating in midfield. Leah Carter, Steph Prowse, Wendy Schofield, Harwood and Dawkins quickly broke down any attempts by Crostyx to get into the Havering half.Gilkes-Tarsey and Isherwood combined to set Semon up for the fourth goal as Havering continued to maintain pressure on the Crostyx defence. A penalty corner brought about the next goal. Sue Harwood's deflection hit a Crostyx foot on the line and Isherwood put away the ensuing penalty stroke. Semon added her second and Havering's 6th again from a penalty corner. She picked up the keeper's clearance from the initial shot to fire home from a tight angle. Havering keeper Tamara Bailey was pleased to keep a clean sheet for the second game on the trot. Havering have a week's break before going to Wapping.
