Havering Ladies resumed the season with a 2-1 win at home over Harlow. Havering quickly began to dominate and were soon rewarded with a penalty corner which Alex Semon calmly converted from sister Catherine 's pass. The second goal came shortly after again from a penalty corner. This time the ball went through to Emma Isherwood who slipped it to Vicky Lynch who struck it past the keeper. Despite playing some good hockey Havering found it hard to create the space to add to their tally. Lynch and Isherwood both had chances that were put wide. Solid defending from Steph Prowse, Wendy Schofield, Leah Carter, Sue Harwood and Chloe Miller meant Harlow found it difficult to get into the circle and on the occasions they did keeper Sophie McCoy proved more than able to deal with it. Harlow did pull one back through sheer persistence but it was in the last minute and Havering secured the win to keep them in the promotion battle.
