Ladies 1's share the points with Wappping 4's

Havering hosted Wapping 4s and were disappointed to drop 2 points, finishing with a 2-2 draw. Havering began well and came close with a couple of early penalty corners but Catherine Semon saw her shots go just wide. Vicky Lynch battled well in midfield and Steph Prowse and Leah Carter were solid at the back. The breakthrough came from a penalty corner. Catherine Semon passed the ball across to sister Alex who fired the ball into the far corner. Havering then dominated play for a period of time but could not convert that pressure into goals. This allowed Wapping to come back into the game and score with a quick break. In the second half the game again was dominated by Havering and they were unlucky not to increase their lead, Alex and Catherine Semon, Emma Isherwood, Hollie Dawkins and Nic Earle all came close but saw their shots saved by some good goalkeeping. It was Wapping who scored next against the run of play but Havering fought back and Sue Harwood squeezed the ball into the goal from a penalty corner. Havering kept the pressure up but just could not find a gap through to score a winner.
