Ladies 1's keep up their unbeaten run

Havering Ladies kept up their unbeaten run with a 3-1 win away at Chelmsford 3s. Havering dominated from the start but resolute defending from the hosts prevented many chances from being created. The deadlock was broken when Lauren Earle made another great run and crossed in for Emma Isherwood to tap in. Havering added a second soon after from a penalty corner. Catherine Semon saw her initial strike saved but pounced on the rebound to fire home. Chelmsford then found a gap through the Havering defence and pulled one back. The second half saw Havering continue to dominate, particularly in midfield where Catherine Semon, Chloe Miller and Vicky Lynch held firm but were unable to take full advantage. Ellie Gane and Sue Harwood were both unlucky not to get on the score sheet. The third goal came when Steph Prowse put a quick free hit ball down the line which Chelmsford knocked out of play. Lauren ran the ball in from the side and Alex Semon put it away. The third win keeps Havering on track for regaining promotion this season.
