After a sluggish start and Gore Court creating a few chances which Sophie McCoy kept out, Havering began to settle into the game. Charlotte Chamberlin, Sue Harwood, Katie Griggs and Nic Earl held the midfield and Sam Cash, Hollie Dawkins, Bukki Olodo and Wendy Schofield broke down the hosts' attacks. Havering took the lead when Harwood intercepted a defensive free hit, dribbled past 2 defenders and slipped the ball to Emily Gilkes-Tarsey who calmly put the ball into the goal. It was a short-lived lead as Gore Court quickly got the ball to their attacking circle and equalised. Havering stayed in control though, Emily Martin going close from Emma Isherwood's cross. Havering were unlucky not to be awarded what appeared to be a penalty stroke, following a defender stopping the ball on the line with her leg from Isherwood's shot, but the score remained even at half time. The second half saw both teams have chances and the game seemed to be heading for a draw but Gore Court took the lead, despite what appeared a couple of infringements during their attacking build up. It was a frustrating game and Havering will hope to return to winning ways next week when they are back at Campion.
