Ladies 1's lose out in local clash

Havering Ladies travelled to Basildon with just the bare eleven for what proved to be a physical encounter. Havering took the lead, Emma Isherwood netting after good interplay from Charlotte Chamberlin, Katie Griggs, Emily Martin and Izzy Purdie. They were unlucky not to increase their lead with the Basildon keeper and defence making some last ditch saves. Basildon soaked up the pressure and then scored with a break away goal. Havering continued to pressure but couldn't find a way through and the scores remained even at half time. Throughout the second half Havering continued to battle but the lack of subs began to tell and Basildon scored two goals on the break to win 3-1.
