Havering Ladies hosted East London Ladies this week and were again frustrated to not get a result. Havering began strongly and East London struggled to get the ball out of their defence. Unfortunately Havering could not capitalise and convert their pressure into a goal. Blaise Copeland, Anna Webb and Tess Meehan all got shots away only to see them saved. The defence of Steph Prowse, Charlotte Chamberlin, Wendy Schofield and Bethan Isherwood kept the East London attack at bay but then a miscommunication allowed the visitors to get into the attacking circle and their shot somehow scrambled over the line. This gave East London confidence and they began to settle and assert themselves on the game. Havering took a while to adapt and found themselves on the back foot. A penalty corner gave East London the chance to increase their lead and despite it looking like Havering would clear the ball, it evaded the defender on the line and dribbled over. Havering began to get some shape back in the second half but couldn't get the ball through to their attack to create any solid chances. They will hope their luck turns as they travel to Blackheath on Saturday.
