Captain fantastic, Catherine Semon, seals the points for Ladies 1's

Havering Ladies - 1 Wapping Ladies 4's - 0
Havering hosted Wapping 4s in the first of the return fixtures. Having been beaten convincingly in the first fixture Wapping had tightened up and were determined not to let Havering settle into their game. The match proved to be an often scrappy affair with Havering having the larger part of the play but Wapping grittily defending their goal. Anna Webb, Chris Noller, Emma Isherwood and Vicky Lynch all saw chances go amiss but Havering kept battling. Lauren Earle, Emily Gilkes-Tarsey and Rhiannon Goulden drove well down the wings but Wapping were able to clear attempted shots and crosses. The second half began with a bit more determination on Havering's behalf and more passes were put together to keep Wapping on the back foot. Rewarded with a penalty corner, Catherine Semon remained composed to slide the ball through the oncoming keeper's legs and put Havering ahead. Several other chances were cleared with the Wapping keeper making a series of good saves. Wapping tried to grab an equaliser but Havering's defence of Steph Prowse, Monica Dubb, Wendy Schofield and Sue Harwood held firm and keeper Sophie McCoy rarely had a save to make. Havering continued to press but the second goal just would not come and the game finished with a 1-0 win which keeps Havering at the top of the Essex Premier League.
