It was a very warm start to the season for the Havering 3s as they hosted Brentwood at home. Eager to make a mark after a disappointing run last season , the boys were raring to go to make a good impression
Things did not go that way however within the first 15mins Brentwood had the upper hand, providing the boys a wake up call after some slick play and a goal. Summertime cobwebs had not been shaken off clearly!
A few injuries did hamper the team on an already sweltering day, reducing the boys to a bare eleven. Whilst we did well to stay in the game by scoring a goal of our own, fatigue set in which inevitably ran its course with a final score of 3-1 to the visitors.
Some great passing movement from the team however with some nice chances created for scoring. A bit more fitness at training and some match sharpness should do the trick for the coming weeks!
