Men's 2's win at East london

Crucial three points against fellow strugglers

Havering secured a crucial win again against fellow strugglers East London at a wet Mile End Park.

Havering took an early lead when James Diggens blasted home from a short-corner. The hosts soon rallied and Havering found themselves under pressure as they struggled to play the ball out from defence. However it was the visitors thanks who scored next, thanks to a rare goal from Haydyn Joslin, who tapped in from close range. Adam Willett and Ryan Adcock both came close before half-time, but Havering took a narrow 2-0 lead into the break.

Havering scored the crucial third goal mid-way through the second half, thanks to Diggins again, to make the points safe. The visitors then had numerous chances to extend the lead further as the came drew to a close, but failed to capitalise. East London scored a late consolation from a counter-attack, but it was too little, too late.
