Wapping Mens 7's 5 – Havering Mens 2's 4
Havering came off second best in a nine goal, ill-tempered match in east London.
Missing 'keeper Luke Ray, captain Jon Wigham was forced to take over in goal and had plenty to do in the early stages as the hosts took a two goal lead and things looked ominous for Havering. However, the visitors soon hit back when top scorer Adam Willett finished off a short-corner routine. Then Liam Keeling converted from the spot after his own goal bound effort was blocked by a defender's knee to level the scores.
Further goals from Willet and Dan Downes were cancelled out by two more from the hosts and the scores were level at 4-4 as the game drew to a conclusion. But when Havering were down to ten men, the lack of manpower proved costly as the hosts forced a late winner.
