After an emphatic win against Romford last week, Havering were looking to continue that momentum against top of the table Brentwood 2's. It was going to be a tough assignment, but Havering were going to give it their best.
With a few key players unavailable, Havering had to adjust but that was made easier with Coach Barlow on the side. Havering stifled Brentwood during the first 20 minutes, much to Brentwood's frustration. After extended pressure, Brentwood got their first goal via a penalty corner weak shot which bobbled past sticks and into the goal.

The next goal came a few minutes later via another penalty corner. However, Havering played well and defended resolutely - they also had a good counter attacking opportunity, where the midfield played a lovely ball from the edge of the D across the face of the goal, but no one could get a stick on it.

Havering went into HT feeling good about their performance and managed to suppress Brentwood's aggressive attack well.

The 2nd half began with a very dubious decision where Ryan Lee couldn't clear the ball properly after a Brentwood player came through the back of his stick which resulted into a Brentwood turnover in the D and subsequent goal.

Shortly after that, another decision was given against Havering where Mitch Cuttell was deemed to have deliberately played the ball over the backline which resulted in a Brentwood short corner. Mitch couldn't play the ball anywhere else and Havering were incensed by this decision. Brentwood converted this short corner.

Brentwood put the nail in the coffin after scoring a 5th goal via open play. But Havering didn't give up. They had 3 more counter attacking opportunities which should've been converted. The scoreline doesn't reflect what was a tightly contested game and now Havering must move onto next week in what is a must win game against Old Loughts 4's, who are a point below them.

Brentwood 2s 5-0 Havering 2's
