With good availability throughout the club, Havering started off strongly - pressing Chelmsford and pinning them on the back foot. It didn't take long for Havering to procure a plethora of short corners. Roger Hiett came close twice but the Chelmsford keeper made 2 impressive saves.
Chelmsford fought back but didn't really have any clear cut chances barring one clinical ball to an unmarked attacked on the back post, luckily they couldn't convert.
The next 2 chances fell to Mitchell Cuttell, who intercepted the ball from an opposition 16, but failed to pass to two of his teammates either side both times.
Half time came and went and the 2nd half continued to be a feisty affair between both sides with a green card being awarded to either side.
The best chance of the 2nd half fell to Greg Carolan - he was unmarked with about 3 feet from goal, but unfortunately had his back to goal and couldn't convert when he received the ball.
The game finished 0-0 and Havering felt this is a good point earned against a tough side. They will look to continue their unbeaten start to the year against local rivals Romford next week.
