Havering 2's vs Chelmsford 4's

Havering started off well, defending diligently against an energetic opposition front line. James Walker made some fine saves to stop them going ahead. With a new formation, Havering looked to attack through the centre of the pitch and ended up with 2 clear cut chances to score. Unfortunately, James Downey and Greg Carolan both missed those chances with air swings in the D.

The pressure on Havering's defence eventually was too much to handle and Chelmsford scored their 1st goal with a top of the D shot into the bottom corner. Chelmsford then proceeded to score 2 more before the half, leaving a despondent Havering side going into the half time break.

Havering came out fighting in the 2nd half with a lion's share of the possession - there were multiple opportunities to score in the opposition's D as well as some short corners. Havering finally got their breakthrough after a well worked team goal which saw Greg Carolan finish it off impressively from the byline past the Chelmsford keeper. Havering were on the front foot and were looking to try to snatch a point back but unfortunately it wasn't to be as Chelmsford scored a counter attack which all but sealed the win for them.

Whilst this result was disappointing for Havering, they can take the many positives from this game into next week's must win local derby against Romford.
