Norwich Men - 2 Havering Men - 1
In a rearranged game Havering made the trip up to Norwich to take them on for the first time this season.
Both teams were looking to secure the points and it was a very even contest. Chances fell to either team in the first half, Liam Appleyard tucked one under the keeper only to be denied by a Norwich defender and then an off the line clearance from Harry Jenkins deprived Norwich of the lead when a forward rounded Bennett in goal.
The second half saw more chances arise for each side and Norwich took the lead when a deflected short corner found its way to their free left slip who struck low passed Bennett in goal. Havering rallied again forward and found success from their own short corner – a simple one two at the top of the D left Harry Andrews with a clear chance which he put away with a powerful slap. As the game stretched Norwich took advantage of their bigger squad and found one last opportunity in the dying moments of the game. A Norwich striker got a reverse stick shot away that squeezed its way in at the near post and left no time for a Havering come back.
